Carson's new bed!!

Carson has been demanding to sleep in Hayden's bed for over a week now and actually does pretty well in it.. except he's fallen out a few times in the middle of the night. Which then results in him running upstairs into our bed. We tried forcing him back in his crib and he climbed/fell out of that. :-/ We can take a hint.

So, today we went to IKEA and not only did we manage to not loose any kids, we found the perfect bed for Carson!! YAY!

This bed was in the "scratch and dent" area:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00032586

It's the floor model and is actually in awesome shape, it came with the mattress (which I febreezed although it has a protective cover), sheets (put different ones on for tonight) and a bed railing. A $200 value... for $80!!! And what I love is that it's as wide as a twin.. and as he grows, we can alter the head/foot board so that he has plenty of room (or pass on to Kaitlyn). WOOT!

LOOK HOW CUTE!!
What a smile.. he's thrilled with his bed.

Of course ALL the kids had to pile in. Ok, I might have put Kaitlyn there but whatever.
I took a couple pictures and this was the best of them.

Cute Sisters (and VERY tired baby)
Aubrey and Hade having a sleepover since there's no school tomorrow.
Silly face... :-D

At this point she's SUPER TIRED..
just had to take one more picture after this and then I put her to bed.

Goodnight, little man! I hope he stays there ALL NIGHT LONG!

Kaitlyn Pictures

I'm attempting a short post.. so I'm just including pictures of Kaitlyn!! I also forgot to say that she can say da-da now (hmph).

Look at this tongue!

10 Things We've Done in Four Days

It's been a few days.. so thought I'd share by listing 10 things we've done in the past four days. I know, I know.. EXCITING! ;o)

1. Aubrey has had a great first week at school and she is doing well in class. She likes to leave just before eight so she can eat breakfast there and have time to talk to her friends. The 7:30 wake up time is about to kill me though.. why can't school start at 9:30??

2. I cleaned the house and it stayed that way for an HOUR! Can't wait to see if it can go even longer than that when Hade's school starts on Wednesday.

3. Hope you're sitting down.. you'll be amazed. I was BRAVE and took all 4 kids to the new DMV in Draper to register my van. :-O Lucky for me, traffic wasn't too bad and there was ZERO wait! In fact, it took me more time getting the kids in and out of the van than the total amount of time I spent in the building (including a bunch of ladies ogling Kaitlyn). My sanity was definitely worth the money it cost me in gas to get there.

4. Hayden and I met his preschool teacher!! He doesn't know anyone in his class but there is one little boy who is also a little shy, and I hope they become friends. Thanks, Joyce, for staying with Carson and Kaitlyn so I could go and actually listen to and participate in the teacher's presentation.

5. Carson is talking more and more.. I can't believe how much he's saying. He is also asking lots of questions and saying funny things.

6. Aubrey went to a birthday party (theme was Hannah Montana, of course) and brought home lots of plastic jewelry which Carson just loves.

7. We had a yummy dinner at Jonny Corino's with Danno and Marci. I just love the bread there (or maybe it's just the balsamic vinegar you dip it in, lol). Kids were pretty good, fun conversation and a surprise in a purse. <-- Wrote that to see if Marci is reading this or not. :-D

8. After said dinner, Danno was AWESOME and helped Drew move our couches from upstairs into the basement.. looks awesome!

9. Kaitlyn has had tooth #2 pop up!! And today she is EIGHT MONTHS OLD!!! Where did the time go???

10. I am about to go to the store to get milk.. with no kids! The Four Crazy Kids are staying home with DADDY!!!!

Now we just need to find new furniture for the front room and hopefully at a fabulous deal with the help of Labor Day weekend sales. Wish us luck!

Who needs a zoo...

I know the title of this could generally apply to my home.. but this afternoon was different. After meeting Drew for lunch, I stopped by Petsmart with the kids (minus Aubs who was in school) to see their Uncle Lock who was working. He gave the boys the best animal show ever!!

Hayden agreed to hold the snake once we promised it wouldn't
bite him or wrap around his neck and choke him. :-/

In the employee area.. yes, we're oh-so-special.

It's Ratatouille! That's hairless!! hehehe

This was the one time Carson actually touched anything.. every time we offered he would say YEAH but when he would get close he would yell AAAAHHHHH and move away.

And finally, we have a turtle. Hade thought it was pretty cool.

After a good smearing of hand hanitizer, Hayden watched Lock feed goldfish to the Oscars. I didn't see it but was told Hade looked like this. :-O

Thanks Lock! You're the best!!!

Aubrey's first day of school!!

My "baby" started THIRD GRADE today!! *I* remember being in third grade and totally loved it.. man, I feel older than dirt!

Drew went in late to work so that I could walk with Aubrey to school (Carson joined us). It was pretty funny to see all of the girls.. over 1/2 of the girls were wearing Hannah Montana shirts and I'd say 75% had Hannah Montana backpacks. Yes, Aubs was part of that percentage. lol Lucky for me, this morning, I managed to Qualify for Mom of the Year award.. I forgot to take pictures before we left!! Ugh! So I took some after she got home from school but she didn't want to be bothered so you can't see how cute her outfit really is.

Aubrey says she has the nicest teacher in the world and has quite a few friends. It was really fun to see her with them.. they were giggling and cute with in the first second of seeing each other. Yay!!!

Now during our day.. Carson enjoyed a lovely bowl of Reece's Puff's for breakfast.

And should you ever need a light turned on... and have a baseball bat handy.. Carson would me more than happy to assist you. And best yet, he proclaims Taaa-daaaaaaa.

Hade and Kait.. awwwwww

Look at that tongue! (you should click on this to see how blue her eyes are!!)

Ok, that's it for today.. can you tell I totally LOVE my camera????? :-D

Aaaarrrrggghhhh Matey...

If you aren't aware, Hade is obsessed with all things dealing with Pirates. He has even declared that when he is grown up, that he will be building a pirate ship (well, or a Spiderman house..). I took the kids to Target on Friday and they had Pirate things in the birthday section- Hayden was SO EXCITED!!! Of course I had to indulge him... lol

Needles to say, we have had lots of AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH and Yo-Ho-Ho's going on in my home. :-D

Hayden with his Pirate Sword

Don't let this picture fool you.. Carson is just as much into it as the rest of us...

Yes, Drew even has a gold earing in (it won't fit the kids ears)

Moving on... yesterday we also had a Garage Sale and sold our couches that were in the basemnt (our first set we purchased! *sniff*). I totally expected Hade to have issues with them going.. being as he was constantly using the couch cushions for literally, the past two years or so, for his forts. He totally had the "Don't let the door hit you on the way out" attitude though. Go figure. I took a farewell picture... I just love his "cheese" face.

And because one can never view to many photos... here's more. hehehe

Kait was inching down the hall towards me and Hade gave her a hug before going to bed (and washing his hands and FACE)
And lastly.. here's our cat for those that haven't seen/heard about it. The neighborhood kids brought it over to our house.. they found it wandering around without a home. We've had it about a month now and he's such a good cat for the most part (he did poop in the kids bathtub a week ago and I'm still bitter about it). And go figure, it doesn't actually bother Drew's allergies. First time for everything, right?? He's VERY patient with the kids though!! Aubrey has named him Tiger L (L stands for lion) but Carson calls him Kitty-Kitty-Meow (as previously mentioned) and the rest of us just call him Kitty. Poor cat with no real name. ;o)

My new Camera

Welcome! I'm finally getting on the Blog Bandwagon! I'm sure everyone has been waiting with baited breath for this time.. hehehe

Well, today I received a package containing... my new CAMERA!! YAY!!!! And of course I got it online and at a screaming price. Now I just need to figure out all the features. lol I've played around with it a little and the editing program and thought I'd post some pictures of My Four Crazy Kids and give an update on what they are up to. :o)

First up is Aubrey!
She is getting ready for third grade, which starts on Monday. We met her teacher last night (who is very nice) and she's excited that her best friend will be in the same class. This summer we have been having fun redoing her room to look a little 'older' including new curtains, a Hannah Montana headboard (great deal from Kohls), posters on the wall.. which also meant taking down the stuff from when she was younger. *sniff* She has also had fun playing with freinds and a couple of sleepovers.

Next up is Hayden.

He is going into preschool again (he has a Nov. birthday so next year is Kindy) and that starts just after Labor Day. Preschool is through the school district and will be FIVE days a week. Hade is very excited to play with one of his buddies who will also be in his class. He has had fun this summer running around outside and riding his bike. He LOVES to draw/color and totally rocks at pirate ships, including the pirate. He is still obsessed with building forts and yes, I'm about to go crazy from the lack of couch cushions staying ON my couch (you know, the essentials to a good fort). Oh, and I'm like 99.9% positive he is going through a growth spurt.. he is always tired and I swear to you, is about to eat us out of house and home. He is always hungry. ALWAYS!! It's making me very nervous to see what things will be like in another 10 years. LOL

And now we have.. Carson (aka: The Tornado Toddler)

Ahh.. Carson... what do I say. LOL He is just a bundle of energy and knows what he wants or doesn't want.. and he's more than loud enough in letting you know that. He is totally IN LOVE with Kaitlyn and loves to say Hi thisclose to her face and lay on her. He likes to eat string cheese, cereal and bananas. His favorite people are Minnie (Mindy), Mamie (Amy), JoJo and Liz, Dock (Lock) and Dock (Marci). Oh, and kitty-kitty meow, as he calls the cat. He loves to play with any kind of cars, Acket-balls (basketballs) and is a very happy kid when he gets to play outside (bike, sandbox, running away...). Last night he was screaming to sleep with Hade's bed (they share a room) and so we let him.. Ack, I think it's time to move him out of the crib! :-O So now the question is: Do we put him in a Toddler Bed (in which we'll need to buy the frame) or do we put him in a Twin bed (we'll need to buy a mattress and frame). Any thoughts?

Finally, little miss Kaitlyn

Kait is almost 8 months old (on the 30th) and is still a total lightweight. She is totally skilled in the Army Crawl though and scoots all over the place. We definitely need to get the baby gate out this weekend!! She laughs like crazy when Carson is being silly around her (and not ON her). Her new "tricks" are saying ba-ba-ba and shaking her head (in a "no" way). She's so cute and a total wiggle-worm. She is also very loud... yeah. lol Sometimes she sleeps through the night and sometimes she doesn't (like last night *yawn*). Here are two more pics (she's chewing on her thumb in one- FIRST TOOTH TODAY!!).

Oh, I guess real fast on Drew and myself... um... uh.. um.... I don't know what to write. lol I just started as the PTA treasurer for this school year- yay! I've been making hair bows for the girls and am having a lot of fun with that (that's another post). We've had a lot of fun staying up late with family/friends on the weekend to play Rock Band. I am a Guitar-Hero and Drew is a drummin' fool!! LOVE IT! Can't wait for the 2nd one to come out. You know, who really needs to sleep... right?

Well, I guess that's it! If you made it through my ramblings, you deserve a big shiny sticker for your forehead! Feel free to comment. :o)
