Mixing, Tasting, Sleeping and Smelling

Four topics again only today it won't be as long as yesterday's. At least I don't think it will... ;o)

mixing:
There is a blog that I love to follow and that I keep bookmarked. It's called Bakerella. http://bakerella.blogspot.com/

She does these awesome little cupcake looking things that I am DYING to try. She also made MINT OREO TRUFFLES. Hello, HAD to make those!!

I posted yesterday about our power going out and us making these. Here are the pictures (we used a cup and spoons to smash everything all up since we couldn't use a mixer).
What one bag of Mint Double Stuffed Oreo's looks like all mashed up..
Next, you mix in a thing of cream cheese that has been softened (using the back of a spoon).

Then you roll the mixture into 1" balls and place on wax paper.

Place in the fridge for a couple of hours (or over night) or in the freezer for about 15 minutes. This will keep the mixture firm enough while being dipped..

Melt chocolate bark as directed on the package and then dip balls into chocolate, tap off extra and set aside on wax paper covered cookie sheet to dry.

Refrigerate and ENJOY!

tasting:
a little piece of heaven

sleeping:
We always check on the boys before going to bed (the girls too) but last night had Drew and I laughing.

This is what we found:
Ah, the joy of brothers. I love that Hayden was totally laying on Carson.. Carson was soundly sleeping like that.. and note the box of Reese's Puffs cereal that had been smuggled in. cough:Hayden:cough

smelling:
Tonight I had a Scentsy party!! My nose is all smelled out. lol I only had four guests show up (Holla at Misty and Terah!!) but that was fine.. less people to share the mint oreo truffles. hehehe

If anyone wants to buy any thing, my party doesn't actually close until Sunday so I can add your order in. My friend Ashley (I've known her since Jr. High and went to NYC with her when I was 16!!) left her sample kit so feel free to stop by and smell to your heart's delight. If you don't want to spend much you could even just get a car smelly thingy ($3!) or a room spray is $8 or there are cool wall plug-in's that are $15 and the wax is $5 (or 6 for $25). Or just smell.

I won't mention all the wonderful things that boosted up my chances for the Mother of the Year award.. baby screaming if she was away from me for .02 seconds(Thanks for your help Misty!).. Carson running around in just a diaper.. etc. No one likes a bragger.

  1. Aren't oreo truffles the bomb? I love Bakerella too, she has the most awesome designs! I made eyeball cake balls (experimenting for Halloween) and they came out really cute. Oh and a side note about your silly boys LOL, when my oldest (now 16) was in Kindergarten we used to wake up in the morning (after tucking him snugly in at night) to find him passed out, siting up on the couch, with a jar of peanut butter in his lap. LOL!

  2. Ooohhh, what are you using for the eyeballs? Sounds like something we'd like..

And the peanut butter is TOTALLY something my Hade would do. We often find the jar in the family room with a spoon in it.. he now has his own jar. :-S
